A thriving half-acre of raised beds, shared tools, and community spirit. Here's what you'll find at The Hollow Field.
The Space
Raised Beds: 40 individual plots, each 2m × 3m, built from reclaimed timber. Every member gets their own bed to grow what they love.
Polytunnel: A 10m tunnel for tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and tender crops. Shared space, managed collectively.
Compost Corner: Three-bay hot composting system plus worm bins. Turn your kitchen scraps into black gold.
Tool Shed: Spades, forks, rakes, hoes, wheelbarrows — all shared. Bring your own gloves.
Garden Kitchen: A covered outdoor kitchen for communal meals, preserving workshops, and cooking classes.
The Rhythm of the Year
How to Get a Plot
All 40 plots are currently allocated. We maintain a waiting list and notify people as beds become available — usually 2–3 times a year.
To join the waiting list, come to a New Member Registration Morning (check our Events page) or get in touch via the Contact page.
Annual membership: €50 per year, which covers water, compost, tool maintenance, and insurance.
